The graduate certificate program in International Teaching aims to provide educational professionals with the knowledge and skills for designing learning experiences in the international school context. The certificate focuses on educational research, pedagogy and assessment of learning for diverse learners. Participants apply theories of learning and creativity, as well as feedback and assessment within the framework of teaching and learning.

The graduate certificate in International Teaching is a new addition to graduate offerings at Webster University in Tashkent. The program is:

  • Taught by international education experts who will introduce you to both the theory and practice of international teaching in an interdisciplinary context
  • A unique program in an area that is considered essential in today’s workplaces by companies and employers across the world
  • A distinct opportunity to learn about and foster your own creative potential

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Describe important concepts and skills of global citizenship education for effective pedagogy
  • Discuss effective learning strategies and high-impact practices for the international education classroom
  • Articulate learning strategies based on international goals and standards for problem-solving and global teaching

  • EDIN 5180 Creativity and Innovation (3 hours)
  • EDIN 5461 Curriculum: Creativity and Design (3 hours)
  • EDIN 5630 Creative Multimedia Design for Innovative Learning (3 hours)
  • EDIN 6001 Integrated Studies: Education and Innovation (3 hours)

Electives (3 hours)

Choose from the following list:

  • EDIN 5190 Leadership and Innovation (3 hours)
  • EDIN 5120 Instructional Development (3 hours)
  • EDIN 5750 Special Institute (3 hours) (May be repeated if content differs)
  • EDIN 5840 Innovations in Learning Systems: Global Perspectives (3 hours)
  • Other course as approved by EDIN advisor or the director of the Center for Creativity and Innovation (3 hours)
